Review by hotel critic
As an Italian interior designer with a penchant for modern aesthetics, Villa Maria's culinary innovation truly impressed me during my recent gourmet getaway. The fine menu, crafted with a studied approach to tradition, made each candlelit dinner a unique experience. Savoring drinks and light meals typical of the Campania region at the poolside bar added a delightful touch to our evenings. The restaurant's fresh dishes of Italian cuisine and Sorrento specialties, prepared by the talented hotel chefs, showcased professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to using only genuine ingredients. The warm ambiance of the lounge bar, with its comfortable couches ideal for relaxation, further enhanced our dining experience.Being centrally located near various shops and restaurants, Villa Maria provided us with easy access to additional culinary adventures. The long space adorned with an impressive antique wooden bar was a charming setting for enjoying aperitifs before our dining excursions. While the breakfast offerings were satisfying, the lack of a standout pasta main dish on the three-course menu was noted. Nonetheless, this minor detail did not overshadow the overall culinary excellence we experienced at Villa Maria. If you appreciate authentic Italian flavors served in a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, this hotel is a must-visit for your next culinary escapade.
